Biography

Ronald B. Sterling is a consultant specializing in health care information technologies, as well as HIPAA security and transaction issues. He has worked with hospitals, integrated delivery systems, practices, and clinics in 30 states. He has also reviewed electronic medical record and medical billing software from over 150 vendors. Mr. Sterling is a frequent speaker on technology applications and HIPAA issues. He has addressed a variety of provider and industry groups, including the Medical Group Management Association, the BlueCross BlueShield Association, and the National Association of Counties. He has contributed articles to such publications as Medical Economics, American Medical News, MGM Journal, and AAOS Bulletin. Mr. Sterling holds a BS in Information Systems from the University of Maryland and an MBA in International Business from the George Washington University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of CPAs.
