Biography

Dr. Patricia Vassallo is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. She graduated from Georgetown University Medical School. She then went to University of Chicago for her Internal Medicine residency. She completed her cardiology fellowship at Rush University where she served as chief fellow. Dr. Vassallo joined the staff of Northwestern in 2007. She received the Lawrence E. and Nancy S. Glick Women’s Family Distinguished Physician Award in Women’s Cardiovascular Health in 2010. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American Society of echocardiography. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology and Echocardiography. Dr. Vassallo’s interests include preventive cardiology, women’s health, valvular heart disease, and aortic disease.
