Biography

Dr. Aaron Vinik is Professor of Internal Medicine/Pathology/Neurobiology at the Diabetes Institute and Director at the Diabetes Research Institute. Dr. Vinik attended Witwatersrand University, completed a residency program at Baragwanath Hospital, and received postgraduate training in Endocrinology at the University of Cape Town. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Vinik has published articles in various scientific journals, including Journal of Clinical Investigation and Diabetes Care. In addition, Dr. Vinik serves on the editorial board of Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and Diabetes Care. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
