Breathing Easy: Strategies for Optimizing Obstructive Sleep Apnea Diagnosis and Management

This two-part Clinical Coffee Break curriculum is designed to enhance PCPs’ confidence in recognizing, diagnosing, and managing OSA. One session features a recommendation engine that allows learners to personalize their experience. Through interactive faculty discussion, learners will review evidence-based approaches for screening and diagnosis, examine current and emerging treatment modalities—including strategies to improve CPAP adherence and patient-centered care—and integrate weight loss into comprehensive management plans to reduce OSA severity and complications.

  • Apply evidence-based strategies to screen for and diagnose obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in patients at high risk, utilizing validated screening tools and appropriate diagnostic modalities

  • Incorporate weight loss into comprehensive OSA management plans to reduce disease severity and associated complications
