Best Practices in African American Healthcare NIAAH Certified Course Offerings

Achieve a certification in African American health that will bolster your clinical decision-making, communication, and your patient’s trust.

Pri-Med, in partnership with the National Institute for African American Health (NIAAH), is offering continuing medical education content that can be applied toward acquiring a certification in African American health.

The CDC reports that health disparities in the African American population have been curiously persistent, and chronic diseases like hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and stroke occur at younger ages and result in premature death. While social determinants of health drive some of these outcomes, there are opportunities for clinicians to improve their clinical practice and move the needle on their patient’s outcomes.

To earn a certification from the NIAAH, you must complete all five core courses as well as a total of four additional elective courses from the offerings below.
