This presentation will review how to recognize, diagnose, and manage MASLD in the primary care setting. Specifically, it will provide guidelines on screening, evaluation, and diagnosis of suspected MASLD, and risk stratification. It will also review primary care management of NAFLD, including use of medications with potential benefit for the disease. Lastly, it will provide guidelines on when to refer patients with MASLD to hepatology and what to expect when a patient is co-managed with a specialist.
