Coding Preventive Medicine Visits
Coding preventive visits and Medicare wellness visits can be confusing for clinicians. This session will describe how to bill for these visits when they are performed alone or with the addition of a problem-oriented visit and what documentation is required. It will address how to bill for a pap smear done at a preventive visit or in response to a problem and differentiate between screening and diagnostic labs at the visits.
