Research consistently shows that sexual satisfaction is a critical component of relationship and life satisfaction. Yet sexual dysfunctions are common, and they impact relationships, self-esteem, and quality of life. Clinicians often feel inadequately trained to address these issues. In this talk, faculty will present on several key topics regarding sexuality and sexual dysfunction: approaches to discussing sexual issues with patients, common sexual problems for men and women, treatment of sexual dysfunction, and indicators for specialist referral. The faculty will also review the changing socio-sexual climate today and how these trends may impact the lives of your patients.
