Overview

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is still the leading cause of death and disability in the United States and LDL-Cholesterol is a major modifiable CVD risk factor and one of the key drivers of the atherosclerotic process. However, <1/3 of high-risk Americans are currently achieving their LDL-cholesterol goals. This session will review the new cholesterol guidelines from AHA/ACC and explore practical opportunities to improve LDL-C control across the continuum of cardiovascular risk.
