Biography
Dr. Sehrish Ali is an Associate Professor for the Section of Nephrology at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her medical degree at A.T. Still University, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Texas A&M University–Baylor Scott & White Hospital and a nephrology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Ali serves as Associate Program Director for the Nephrology Fellowship Program, Nephrology Inpatient Service Director for Baylor College of Medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital and as McNair Nephrology Clinic Director. Her clinical and research interests include women’s health in kidney disease, cardiovascular risk reduction, and patient-centered care in nephrology. Dr. Ali established a first-of-its-kind Women’s CKD Clinic within the Women’s Center at the Houston VA—the only multidisciplinary subspecialty clinic in the center. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and is actively involved in national nephrology societies. At Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Ali has received multiple honors, including the Nephrology Distinguished Educator Award and the Early Career Faculty Award for Excellence in Patient Care. She is deeply committed to advancing nephrology education and mentoring the next generation of physicians.
