Biography

Dr. Eva Amenta is an Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC). She went to the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut for Medical School and completed her internal medicine residency and infectious diseases fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Her research interest includes the appropriate treatment of urinary tract infections (UTIs) and asymptomatic bacteriuria in high-risk populations, including individuals with Spinal Cord Injury and Disease (SCI/D). She enjoys teaching and medical education and received the award for best subspecialty teaching at the MEDVAMC in 2024 from the internal medicine residency program.
