System Chair, Interventional Pain Management, Ochsner Health Professor, Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine Associate Professor, University of Queensland–Ochsner Clinical School of Medicine Clinical Assistant Professor, Louisiana State University School of Medicine New Orleans, LA Dr. Maged Guirguis is a triple board-certified physician in anesthesiology, pain medicine, and headache medicine, and he currently serves as System Chair of Interventional Pain Management at Ochsner Health. In this role, he directs system-wide strategies and fosters innovation in multidisciplinary pain care, focusing on advancing interventional therapies and enhancing patient outcomes. Originally trained in Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Guirguis completed his residency and fellowship in anesthesiology and pain medicine at the esteemed Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the United States. Dr. Guirguis is a recognized leader in the field, with numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presentations at both national and international conferences. He holds significant educational and leadership roles in several professional organizations. His research centers on innovation in neuromodulation and the future of pain medicine. Dr. Guirguis also holds academic appointments at the Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine, University of Queensland–Ochsner Clinical School of Medicine, and the Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
