Han is a Professor of Medicine at UCLA and VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) where she practices as a cardiac electrophysiologist and the director of the Cardiac Arrhythmia Devices and Digital Health Program. She has worked consultatively with the National VA Office of Connected Care & the VA Innovations Ecosystem to cement the critical role of digital health and remote monitoring for Veterans’ arrhythmia care. She has served as Vice Chair of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Digital Strategy Committee where she balanced forwarding-thinking with risk-taking to set digital policy governing ACC’s digital strategy. She was also 2024 co-chair for the American Heart Association Arrhythmia and EP Committee on Scientific Sessions Programming and the overall Clinical Science co-lead, and continues to be a member of the AHA EP leadership committee. She has been a member of the Heart Rhythm Society since 2007 and has been instrumental in the development of structured, real-time science communication for the HRS Annual Scientific Sessions and played critical roles in the development of Heart Rhythm TV. As Chair of the HRS Communications committee, she is helping to set the vision for HRS communications strategies. As Vice-Chair and Chair of the Growth and Leadership Opportunities for Women in Electrophysiology (GLOWE), she has dedicated herself to the engagement, nurturing and promotion of future leaders in EP, especially those from under-represented backgrounds. As a national and internationally invited lecturer at scientific congresses, her research interests include implantable cardiac devices, arrhythmia management and prevention, and digital health including cardiac monitoring & wearables and remote monitoring, with scientific contributions including co-authoring international scientific statements, expert decision pathways & guideline papers.
