Biography

Tomasz J. Kuzniar, MD, PhD, FAASM, FCCP, is an attending physician at NorthShore University HealthSystem in Evanston, Illinois. He is also a clinical associate professor at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Kuzniar earned his medical degree and doctorate at Wroclaw Medical University in Wroclaw, Poland. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Wroclaw Medical University and McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He completed a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, and a sleep medicine fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Kuzniar is board certified in critical care, internal, pulmonary, and sleep medicine. Dr. Kuzniar is a member of the Critical Care Family Support Team and Critical Care Clinical Treatment/Evidence Committee at NorthShore University HealthSystem and has presented at the annual meetings of CHEST and SLEEP. His research has been published in relevant publications, including CHEST, the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, and Sleep. Dr. Kuzniar has been named the Teaching Specialty Attending of the Year four times by the NorthShore University HealthSystem Internal Medicine Residency Program
