Biography

Deidra Lee, PharmD, MHA, RPh is a fellowship-trained Medical Science Liaison at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals supporting healthcare professionals across South Texas. Her work focuses on translating clinical evidence into practical, patient-centered strategies that support primary care management of cardiovascular and renal conditions, including hypertension and electrolyte disorders such as hyperkalemia. With a strong background in medical affairs, pharmacotherapy, and medical information, she partners with clinicians to advance guideline-directed care through clear scientific communication and real-world clinical insights. Deidra completed Medical Affairs Strategy and Medical Information fellowships with AstraZeneca through the Rutgers Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship and previously served as a postdoctoral research fellow in Pharmacotherapy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC). She holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Texas HSC College of Pharmacy and a Master of Health Administration from Midwestern State University. A former public-school educator, she brings a strong commitment to health equity, practice-informed clinical decision making, and empowering frontline providers with actionable, evidence-based knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
