Nephrologist, Loma Linda VA Healthcare System Associate Professor of Medicine, Loma Linda University School of Medicine Dr. Roy Mathew is a Nephrologist and clinical researcher at the Loma Linda VA Medical Center in Loma Linda California. He has the academic title of Associate Professor of Medicine with the Loma Linda University School of Medicine. His clinical practice encompasses patients with chronic kidney disease and patients on dialysis; much of this is focused on patients with the intersection of cardiovascular and kidney disease. Dr. Mathew has examined the intersection between cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic (obesity, diabetes) diseases and has published regularly in this area. He was previously closely involved with the completed International Study of Comparative Health Effectiveness of Medical and Invasive Approaches-Chronic Kidney Disease trial, and has worked closely with the American Heart Association in the development and the promotion of the novel Cardio-Kidney-Metabolic Health/Syndrome framework.
