Biography

Dr. Moore is a native Texas who grew up in College Station. He stayed home and went to Texas A&M University where he graduate in 2009 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a B.A. in History. He then pursued an M.A. in Philosophy with an emphasis on medical humanities. Afterwards he came to Baylor College of Medicine in 2013 where he received his M.D. in 2017, completed Internal Medicine residency in 2020, and has remained on clinical faculty at the DeBakey VA Hospital since July 2020. In 2023 Dr. Moore obtained board certification through the American Board of Obesity Medicine. His professional interests are in medical humanities research, expanding access to obesity medications, and medical education. In his personal life he enjoys hiking with his family and making it to as many Astros games as his wife will tolerate.
