Biography

Dr. Himani Patel earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. After completing her residency at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, she transitioned to caring for veterans as a Hepatitis C Clinical Pharmacist. Throughout her industry career, encompassing therapeutic areas such as oncology, rare diseases, and most recently COVID 19, she has remained focused on improving patient outcomes through evidence based education. In her current role as HIV Prevention Scientific Engagement Lead within Gilead Sciences U.S. Medical Affairs, she supports HIV prevention initiatives in primary care settings across the Northeast, with a focus on reducing barriers to prevention and advancing patient centered approaches to ending the HIV epidemic.
