Recognized for her innovative approach to medical journalism, Dr. Sujatha Reddy has been awarded an Emmy Award and AP honorable mentions. With 25 years of private practice and 20 years of medical journalism experience across CNN, Headline News, Weather Channel, and presently WXIA-NBC Atlanta’s medical correspondent, Dr. Reddy is a well-rounded physician-journalist. She combines breakthrough medical discoveries and relevant, utility laden information in a way truly accessible to her audience ? whether they be in her exam room or in her broadcast audience. Dr. Reddy was the youngest graduate in her medical school class having earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY at the age of 22. She has deep roots in the city of Atlanta having served as assistant professor at Emory University. Additionally, Dr Reddy has served many philanthropic organizations across the United States and is on the board of directors of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation. Having been published over 20 times in prominent books and medical journals around the world, Dr. Reddy is deeply respected within the medical community. She is a board-certified OB/GYN surgeon with fellowship training in pelvic surgery. Dr. Reddy resides in Atlanta, GA with her four-year-old son Krish.
