Biography

Dr. Michael Sension is an internist and specialist in HIV medicine and is a medical director for the non-profit HIV Treatment and Prevention organization , CAN Community Health and has primary offices in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami Beach, Florida. Previously, Dr. Sension was the medical director of HIV Clinical Research for Broward Health in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Sension earned his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois and his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his internship and residency at Cornell University/New York Hospital in New York, New York, and did additional training in infectious diseases at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Sension offers more than 30 years of experience in internal medicine, HIV medicine, and research. He has been the principal investigator of numerous clinical trials and lectures frequently on the topic of HIV treatment and prevention.
