Biography

Ajay Shah, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and Director of Outpatient Psychiatry at Texas Children's Hospital, whose clinical work focuses on the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with mental health conditions. His clinical interests are ADHD and mood disorders. His academic interests center on medical education, particularly mentoring and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Dr. Shah has been recognized with several teaching awards for his commitment to trainee development. He is dedicated to elevating the role of pediatric psychiatry within the broader healthcare system, and committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care while working closely with children and their families.
