Biography

Ms. Isabel Valdez is an Associate Professor and Director of APPs at Baylor College of Medicine. A proud alumna of Rice University and the University of Texas Medical Branch, she dove into primary care and never looked back! Her outstanding patient care, advocacy and commitment to education have earned her multiple patient care awards. Ms. Valdez shares her expertise here, at the American Academy of Physician Associates, Texas Academy of PAs and around the world as a producer for the The Curbsiders Internal Medicine podcast on many primary care topics including diabetes and obesity. When she’s not seeing patients or teaching, she runs in 5k, 10k, or 21k intervals or works on her Duolingo French.
