Overview

The medical management of chronic kidney disease (CKD) has become an integral responsibility of primary care clinicians. The KDIGO guidelines on the long-term care of patients with CKD will be reviewed in detail with attention to the availability of new pharmacotherapy for nephroprotection. A stepwise approach to slowing the progression of CKD will also be presented, followed by an open Q&A session.
