Kegels for Men? - Frankly Speaking EP 172Guest: Robert Baldor, MD, FAAFP
Music Credit: Richard Onorato

As men age, over-active bladder (OAB) symptoms (urgency, frequency, nocturia) are commonly seen. Typically, these symptoms are secondary to the development of benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH). Alpha-blocking and/or antimuscarinic agents are commonly prescribed to treat such symptoms. In this podcast we review the COBALT study which examines the benefits of behavioral treatments (pelvic floor muscle training and fluid restriction before bedtime) alone or combined with drug therapy to treat OAB symptoms.
