Overview

This presentation provides primary care clinicians with a practical, evidence-based approach to diagnosing and managing ADHD across the lifespan. It reviews core DSM-5-TR criteria, diagnostic complexities, and evaluation strategies that pertain to the primary care clinician. Attendees will learn how to select and titrate stimulant and non-stimulant medications, monitor safety, and address common side effects. The talk will highlight classroom strategies for children with ADHD. Managing ADHD in the setting of comorbid conditions such as depression, anxiety, and substance use will also be discussed.
